Geneva I. Sheppard, 93, Fayetteville, Ga., formerly of Spencer, Cloverdale and St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away on June 7, 2013 at Fayetteville, Ga.

She was born on Aug. 12, 1919 in Spencer and was the daughter of the late Ray Oliver and Freda Gladys (Straley) Booth.

She married Everett Frederick Sheppard on May 28, 1939 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1979.

She is survived by her children, Jane Koch Rode, Fayetteville, Ga., Rita Cress Strube and husband Robert, St. Petersburg, Fla., Everett Lee Sheppard and wife Vicki, Loveland, Ohio, Roy O. Sheppard and wife Linda, PaPa, Hungary, and Albert Ray Sheppard and wife Mary Ann Titusville, Fla., 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was a 1936 graduate of Spencer High School, member of the Peachtree City Church of Christ, Peachtree, Ga., active in the Central Christian Church, St. Petersburg, Fla. and the Fayette Senior Services STAR Program, Fayetteville, Ga.

She was a dairy farmer, concession stand operator at Lieber State Recreational Area, Avon Representative and Medical Records clerk at Northside Hospital, St. Petersburg, Fla.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 13 at 2 p.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13 from noon until service time. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Spencer.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Billy Sheppard, her sister, Maxine Rush and her brother, Delbert Booth.
