Wednesday, June 12, 2013

The Putnam County Public Library will be hosting a Passport Travel talk on Scotland on Thursday at noon.

Resource Librarian and photographer Lynne Tweedie, along with her husband Chris Wurster, Senior Development Officer and Director of 50th Reunion Programs at DePauw recently visited Scotland to gain a better understanding of Lynne's family heritage, as she is one of the families in the Frasier Clan. The two also have a shared love of mountainous places, as they lived in the Colorado mountains for 25 years, as well as an interest in food, history, art, golf, fishing and wildlife.

Their two-week trip to Scotland involved many different modes of transportation that took them to Glasgow, Inverness, Loch Ness and the Great Glen, the Isle of Skye, the Isle of Rum, St Andrews and Edinburgh. Along the way they visited Castles, golf courses, wildlife areas, gardensand museums.

Participants are encouraged to bring their lunches to the program. Dessert and drinks will be provided.
