Workshop for unarmed response to active shooter

Saturday, June 22, 2013

The Indiana State Police will be providing a workshop and demonstration activity at 10 a.m. Friday, June 28, at North Putnam High School.

The workshops will help prepare school administrators, school resource officers and other school personnel help for an active shooter or armed intruder.

Please know that there may be an increased police presence as well as activity around the high school.

The high school will be closed Friday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. due to the activities. Summer school will meet in the middle school and all practices have been scheduled as to not interfere with the workshop.

These workshops allow law enforcement and school personnel to learn from one another and improve the overall safety and protection of the students in the area.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact North Putnam Assistant Principal Jason Chew at 522-6282, extension 224.
