McCloud to host two programs June 29

Saturday, June 22, 2013

On June 29, two programs will hit McCloud Nature Park, which is operated by Hendricks County Parks and Recreation.

The public will be able to investigate the FBI -- Fungus, Bacteria and Invertebrates -- and learn about their importance in the food chain. The program starts at 2 p.m., and gives everyone a chance to get the hands dirty.

If people would rather wait until 8 p.m., the first-ever Percussion in the Park program allows people to sit around a campfire. The naturalist at the Nature Center will join in listening to the sound of nature. Everyone is invited to bring personal bongos, bells and other instruments.

Both programs are free to the public. For more information on McCloud Nature Park and park programs, call the Hendricks County Parks & Recreation main office at 317.718.6188 or visit the website at www.hendrickscountyparks.org.
