Brazil resident promoted to Assistant Superintendent at PCF

PUTNAMVILLE -- Superintendent Stanley Knight recently announced the promotion of Michael Rains, from Brazil, to the position of assistant sSuperintendent of re-entry at the Putnamville Correctional Facility (PCF).

Rains, a graduate of Indiana State University, began his career with the Indiana Department of Correction at Putnamville in 2007. During his tenure, he has held various positions advancing from correctional officer to case worker, case manager and unit team manager, contributing to the successful operation of the facility at each level.

"Congratulations on your achievement," Knight said. "I am confident that you will meet the expectations and challenges of the new position and continue to be an asset to the facility and Department."
