Riggs to play fair kickoff event Sunday

Following a good response from the Putnam County Fair audience during the 2012 fair, country artist Levi Riggs will play the Putnam County Fair kickoff event at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Community Building.

Last year, Riggs performed at the kickoff as a member of the Overtones Gospel Quartet and then played the fair as a solo country act.

Now the Danville native will be back playing the free pre-fair event as a solo act.

The event features free ice cream in addition to the entertainment, but donations to the Putnam County Fairgrounds Endowment will be accepted.
