Preying on the Miller's daughter Kathryn (Naomi Zuniga-Martinez) in her darkest hour, the goblin Rumpelstiltskin (Brenigan Warren) tells the young lady he can spin straw into gold for her -- at a steep price. The children of the Summer Enrichment Program at Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church put on a play of the fairy tale as part of the Tuesday, July 2 celebration of the program's 25th anniversary. SEP Committee Chairman John Schlotterbeck and Mayor Sue Murray also spoke at the celebration, with Murray proclaiming July 2 at Summer Enrichment Program day in the City of Greencastle. During its quarter century, the SEP has provided as safe haven and safety net for the poorest, most at-risk children in the community. The five-week program features art activities, swim lessons, sports, social skills lessons and a wide variety of enrichment opportunities and has served approximately 1,500 children over the years.
