CERT Training

Several people recently attended the Community Emergency Response Team class, which teaches basic fire suppression, very basic medical triage and treatment, search and rescue, disaster psychology and overall CERT organization. Attending were David Costin, James Spore, Vernon Bothwell, Clyde Siddons, Robert DiRocco, Larry Jones, Todd Zeiner, Anita Edenfield, George Edenfield, Patrick Quillan, Nancy Knapp, Carl Knapp, Michael Foster, Debra Robinson and Steve Shotwell. The instructors were Elia James and Kim Douglas of Marion County CERT. Both Pizza King and Wal-mart provided the class with food and beverages on the final day of class. Those who are interest in CERT can contact Eric Vaughan (Commander), Pat Quillan (Deputy Commander) or Pam Pierce (Board President) at 653-5049 extension 305.

  • If these people are needed ~ who contacts them ~ how long does it take them to response ~ do they gather at one location then take their time getting to the situation??? Would just like to know more about them as an organization and what they can and cannot do. Would like to have a positive response please. Thanks
