County Jail

Several people have been booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 10:25 a.m. Wednesday, Anthony Wayne Strode, 40, Indianapolis, was arrested for motor vehicle theft, operating while intoxicated with a prior conviction, resisting law enforcement and failure to appear.

At 11:50 a.m. Weilhelm Heinrish Minartz, 32, Bowling Green, was held at the jail for trafficking contraband with an inmate and probation violation.

At 2:13 p.m. Deric Lee Coffman, 19, Cloverdale, was charged with criminal mischief and theft.

* At 5:31 a.m. Thursday, Ricky Lee Smith, 59, Indianapolis, was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

City Jail

Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

-- 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Ryan Joseph Fontanyi, 31, Plainfield, was arrested by Officer Darrel Bunten at a Crown Street residence.

He was booked into the Putnam County Jail on three counts of possession of a controlled substance and a pair of Clay County warrants.

-- At 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, Seth Powell, 22, Greencastle, was arrested on Wood Street by Officer Nick Eastham on a warrant for failure to appear.
