Bonnie L. Helton

Bonnie L. Helton, 77, of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013.

She was born on June 10, 1936 in Clinton to John James Helton and Rebecca Jane Alkier Helton.

Bonnie attended school in Clinton, and retired from the Putnam County Courthouse with 20 years of service as a custodian.

Mrs. Helton was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Michael Wallace and Timothy Wallace; a brother, Ray Helton and a sister, Rosie Reynolds.

Surviving are her children, Ronald Wallace and wife Karen of Plainfield, John Wallace of Greencastle, James Wallace of Clay County, Charles Wallace and wife Guadalupe of Indianapolis, Penny Hill and husband James of Brazil, and Kathy Rogers of Harvest, Ala.; her twin sister, Vonnie "Joan" Gilbert of Rockville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Geoffrey Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Putnamville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 2 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
