County Jail

Three people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 6:51 a.m. on Wednesday, Dustin Kent Kennedy, 40, Greencastle, was lodged in the jail, charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a prior and public intoxication after being involved in a property-damage traffic accident.

* At 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Spencer Jeffery Dean, 33, Whiteland, was booked into the jail as a habitual traffic violator.

* At 1:10 a.m. on Thursday, Christopher Lee Nunn, 31, was lodged in the jail for nonsupport of a dependent.

City Police

An accident detailed in Thursday's Putnam scanner had positions of the two vehicles inadvertently switched.

At 4:13 p.m. July 25 a two-vehicle accident was reported on Indianapolis Road as Carol Grimes, 54, Greencastle, stopped her 2008 Ford Mustang to turn left and was struck from behind by a 2000 Subaru Impreza driven by Sean Jones, 26, Fillmore.

Sgt. Terry Eastham estimated total damage at $2,500-$5,000.

Jones reportedly struck his head on the windshield but declined medical treatment at the scene.

Individuals listed in the blotter have been arrested on probable cause and have not been formally charged. Charging information may change after an initial arrest.
