Showing Tuesday for film by Teen Filmmaking Group

Monday, August 5, 2013

A special screening of the short film that the Putnam County Public Library Teen Filmmaking Group has been working on this summer is scheduled for Tuesday evening at the library.

Everyone is invited to visit the library, 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle, to attend the 6 p.m. premiere showing of the film the group has created over the past eight weeks.

Since June 11, teen program participants have been utilizing new equipment to learn the basics of filmmaking, create fun library videos and make a short film.

Local teens have had an opportunity to operate a camera, record audio, edit video and audio, act and direct.

The library has been able to provide the unique summer opportunity thanks to a grant from the Putnam County Community Foundation.

For more information about the project, persons may contact Sam Hirt at 653-2755 (ext. 118) or via shirt@put-nam.lib.in.us.
