A new principal isn't the only addition at Greencastle Middle School this year. A new marquee message sign, located at the south end of the GMS building, now greets students, staff and visitors and informs travelers along Percy Julian Drive and Veterans Highway of upcoming events. The old sign was removed and the new electronic message board installed Tuesday by Hutchison Signs of Indianapolis. Personnel from Think Sign.com were on site Wednesday after the first day of school ended for students, programming the sign so GMS staff members like new principal Shawn Wooden could easily activate messages via computer. The new sign project was funded by middle school PTO fundraisers.
