On Sunday, Aug. 18, First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) will be filled with music during the 10 a.m. worship service.

David Acton, Kevin Smith, and Jacob Peterman, all students at the DePauw School of Music, will be performing pieces on pipe organ, horn, piano, saxophone and string bass in a program titled "A Sermon in Music." Composers include J.S. Bach, Marcel Dupré, David German and others.

The First Christian Church Choir will sing two familiar hymns.

Everyone is invited to join in this special worship service in the historic 1894 sanctuary. Coffee and cookie fellowship begins at 9:30 a.m.

Handicap access is available from the parking lot entrance on the north side of the building, plus a wheelchair ramp directly into the sanctuary from Poplar Street. There will be helpers at both entrances, and the nursery will be attended.
