Nancy Jane (Modesitt) Auen

Nancy Jane (Modesitt) Auen, 65, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013.

Nancy was born in Brazil on Aug. 18, 1947 to Ray and Nancy Pauline (Adams) Modesitt.

She attended Brazil Senior High School. Nancy worked at the Pillsbury Company in Seelyville IN and was previously the owner of Coatesville Food Center.

She was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed crafting and quilting.

Nancy is proceeded in death by her parents, brother Donald R. Modesitt and son Darrin Keith Blubaugh.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Auen; a son, James L. Blubaugh, two daughters, Lisa Frost and Lorie (Clarence) Pierce; six grandchildren, Kellsie Sanders, Samantha Frost, Troy Pierce, Brandon L. Pierce, Elizabeth Frost, and Logan Blubaugh; one great-grandchild, Colton Sanders; two nephews, Billy Modesitt and Ronnie Modesitt; a niece, Janice Modesitt; a sister-in-law, Cloe Hayden, and several cousins.

There will be a celebration of life at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 260 E. CR 300 South, Greencastle, from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday August 20.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ray Auen to help with funeral expenses.
