Shawn M. Smith

Shawn M. Smith, 49, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday. Aug. 16, 2013 at the Putnam County Hospital.

She was born on Nov. 16, 1963 to James Bernard and Wanda Lou Martin Smith in Saginaw, Mich.

She graduated from Merrill High School in Merrill, Mich.

She worked as a dietician cook and nurses aid at The Waters of Greencastle.

Survivors include her mother Wanda Smith of Greencastle, son Joel David Kilgore, granddaughters Trinity and Lillian Kilgore, brother Steven M. Smith and her fiancé Eugene Grimes, all of Greencastle.

Her father and a brother preceded her in death.

The family has chosen cremation. There will be public visitation from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home in Roachdale. There will be no services.
