County Jail

A number of people have been booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 11:55 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, Michael Kenneth Scales, 30, Greencastle, was arrested for invasion of privacy and bond revocation.

At 11:23 p.m. Dustin Bo Baker, 27, Greencastle, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and driving never having received a license.

* At 12:40 a.m. Friday, Cory Allen Eiseman, 24, Cloverdale, was held at the jail for battery with bodily injury.

At 11 a.m. Keith Allen Shepherd, 36, Greencastle, was booked in for residential entry.

At 11:45 p.m. Frank Hershal Gardner, 31, Greencastle, was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

* At 4:29 a.m. Saturday, Cameron Tyler Ensor, 22, Greencastle, was charged with operating while intoxicated.

At 10:15 p.m. Harold Strube, 59, Greencastle, was held at the jail for failure to appear.

* At 2:24 a.m. Monday, Katherine Salena-Pryce Duffy, 30, Carlsbad, N.M., was booked in for possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

At 7:45 a.m. Chad Ryan Kenneth Posey, 28, Poland, was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

At 9:17 p.m. Joby Tyler Spencer, 19, Greencastle, was charged with failure to appear.

City Police

One recent arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

-- At 9 p.m. Friday, Trieka Starlet Green, 47, Mt. Carmel, Ill., was arrested on Bloomington Street by Sgt. Charles Inman.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Green is facing charges of driving with a suspended license with a prior offense, criminal mischief and shoplifting.

The shoplifting charge stems from a reported $3.38 worth of food and snacks she allegedly stole from McClure's gas station on Bloomington Street.

Sheriff's Department

* At 1:44 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, Jeremy A. Glidden, 19, Brownsburg, was southbound on County Road 200 West south of County Road 125 South in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado.

As he rounded a corner, the vehicle began to slide on the loose gravel. While attempting to correct the truck, he hit a rut in the road, which caused the vehicle to leave the road on the west side, go into a ditch and overturn.

Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.

* At 4:37 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14, Kraig S. Richmond, 42, Coatesville, was southbound on County Road 500 East in a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado when he noticed a 2008 Jeep Liberty driven by Rosemarie Shaw, 58, Greencastle, northbound in the southbound lane.

Richmond advised Sgt. Jon Chadd it appeared Shaw was looking down and did not see him. He said he began honking his horn and steering toward the side of the road in an attempt to get Shaw's attention, but was unable to do so.

Shaw's SUV hit the driver's side mirror on Richmond's vehicle and continued northbound, hitting the trailer he was hauling. The truck was registered to Magic Circle Corp., and the trailer was hauling a Dixie Chopper lawnmower.

Shaw was left of center for an unknown reason and deputies were unable to speak to her due to her injuries, which included lower leg and foot pain. She was transported from the scene by Operation Life.

Damage was estimated at $50,001-$100,000.
