Greencastle golfers can't keep pace with Chargers

The Greencastle girls golf team lost to visiting North Montgomery on Monday, 224-192.

The Tiger Cubs were led in scoring by Lokysa Scheuermann and Liz Johnson, who both shot a 48.

"It's nice to get a couple of socres in the 40s, but we definitely have a lot of work to do to be competitive in the upcoming county and conference meet," GHS coach Bob Hedge said.

Alex Weliever and Gabby Selvia each came in with a 63 at the nine-hole event. Haley Cash had a 65, followed by Alexa Newlin's 67.

North Montgomery's Morganne Carpenter had the low score of the meet with a three-over 38.

Greencastle's next match is Thursday at Danville at 4:30 p.m.
