Cougars open soccer season with win over South Vermillion

ROACHDALE -- The North Putnam boys' soccer team got a pair of goals from both Bennett Hazelgrove and Zach Hunter en route to a 5-1 win over visiting South Vermillion on Monday.

Kavyn Tumm's goal late it the second half made it 5-0 for the Cougars before the Wildcats got on the board.

Hunter opened the scoring with two quick goals and Hazelgrove added one more before the half. His second goal came early in the second.

The Cougars return to the pitch Thursday at Danville at 5 p.m.
