Eagles lose tough battle at Clay City

BRAZIL -- The South Putnam volleyball team is getting closer to finding its rhythm. The Eagles lost at Clay City 25-23, 25-16, 25-20 on Thursday.
South Putnam went on a 10-point run in the final game but came up just short.
"The Eagles continue to show their tenacity and never-give-up attitudes," SPHS coach Deanna Long said.
The Eagles assisted on 98 percent of their kills and completed 85 percent of their serve attempts.
SPHS hosts the Eagles Invitational on Saturday at 9 a.m.
In the JV match South Putnam lost 25-8, 25-16.
