Tiger Cubs tennis places third at Sullivan tournament

SULLIVAN -- The Greencastle boys' tennis team finished third at the four-team Sullivan Invitation on Saturday.

The No. 2 doubles team of Lucas Eckrich and Nathan Gobert won its bracket and the No. 1 doubles team of Adam Gerard and Jake Mangrum finished second.

Kaleb Flemming, playing No. 1 singles for the Tiger Cubs, finished the day 0-2, and No. 2 and No. 3 singles players Christian Ritchey and Jason Ummel both finished 1-1.

The Tiger Cubs host Edgewood on Monday at 5 p.m. for its first match of the regular season.
