LIZTON -- Neither the boys' or girls' squad fielded a complete roster on Tuesday, but the North Putnam cross country teams still put in a strong performance at Tri-West.

Each of the girls finished in the top ten and the boys' team all came in under 25 minutes.

Senior Alexandria Land led the four NPHS girls with a finish at 30:14, fourth overall at the event. She was followed by Cougars Claire Dean (25:06, seventh), Kylee Detro (35:19, eighth) and Brooke Smith (35:24, ninth).

Michael Roach led the boys' team. He finished at 23:02, 11th overall, with fellow Cougar Avery Gambill close behind at 23:32. Trae Straziscar (24:24, 16th) and Chase Salyers (24:45, 17th) also competed for NPHS.

The Cougars will return to the course on Saturday at Danville at 9 a.m. as part of the Hokum Karem event.
