County Jail

Several people have been booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 12 p.m. Friday, Ronald Buchanan, 30, Brazil, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

* At 3:12 a.m. Saturday, Cory Allen Eiseman, 24, Cloverdale, was charged with trespassing.

At 2:45 p.m. Carl Edgar Haney, 38, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for battery.

* At 2:35 a.m. Sunday, Colin Samuel Bultinck, 20, Lafayette, was booked in for operating while intoxicated.

At 4:44 a.m. Aimee Michelle Brodnik, 33, Greencastle, was arrested for operating while intoxicated with a prior conviction.

* At 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nicole Lynn Johnson, 27, Coatesville, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

At 7 p.m. Brandi Lynette Clodfelter, 32, Bainbridge, was held at the jail for probation violation.

At 9:10 p.m. Michael Edward Davis, 41, Bainbridge, was booked in for probation violation.

At 10:30 p.m. Laura Marie Griffith, 36, Greencastle, was arrested for battery.

At 11:15 p.m. Larry Joe Overshiner, 58, Greencastle, was charged with operating while intoxicated and public intoxication.

City Police

One recent minor traffic accident was reported by Greencastle City Police.

-- At 4:28 p.m. Friday, a two-vehicle accident was reported at Indianapolis Road and Fawnview Drive/Percy Julian Drive.

Ricky Sharp, 65, Greencastle, had his 1984 GMC pickup in the turn lane on Fawnview Drive, waiting to go left onto Indianapolis Road, when his vehicle was struck by a westbound 2011 Chevrolet Lumina. The car was driven by Kristin Carpenter, 25, Reelsville, who witnesses said disregarded a red light and ran into the Sharp truck.

Among the witnesses was Det. Randy Seipel, who was right behind the Sharp vehicle when the accident occurred.

Officer Jeff Modlin estimated total damage at $2,500-$5,000.

Five recent traffic citations were issued by city officers.

-- At 10:27 p.m. Sunday, Lauren Abendroth, 20, Toledo, Ohio, was ticketed for speeding by Officer Nick Eastham. She was cited on Bloomington Street, south of Martinsville Street, for 50 mph in a 30-mph zone.

-- At 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Melissa Jackson, 42, Gerencastle, was ticketed on Indianapolis Road by Officer Matt Huffman for having an expired license plate.

-- At 4:21 p.m. Saturday, Mary S. Anderson, 53, Indianapolis, was cited by Officer Modlin for 63 mph in a 40-mph zone on Veterans Memorial Highway.

-- At 3:20 a.m. Saturday, Heather Deakins, 36, Brazil, was ticketed on Bloomington Street by Officer Eastham for having an expired license plate (April 2013).

-- At 9:30 p.m. Aug. 27, Laura Meads, 45, Greencastle, was cited on Indianapolis Road by Sgt. Charles Inman for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.
