Residents of Greencastle's First Ward are invited to attend a neighborhood meeting on Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Greencastle Fire Station, 107 S. Indiana St.

First Ward City Councilman Adam Cohen, Councilor-at-Large Phyllis Rokicki and Mayor Sue Murray will update those present on the Stellar Community Grant projects, as well as city plans for the future.

Police Chief Tom Sutherlin is also scheduled to attend the meeting to talk about the Neighborhood Watch Program.

First Ward essentially includes most of the west side of Greencastle, west of College Avenue on the north and west of Locust Street on the south, including the DePauw University campus.

For questions about the neighborhood meeting, persons may contact the mayor's office at 653-3100.

Besides the First Ward meeting on Sept. 12, the City Council will conduct its regular monthly meeting as well next week. It is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10 at City Hall.

Joining Cohen and Rokicki in serving on the Greencastle City Council are Mark Hammer, Second Ward; Jinsie Bingham, Third Ward; and T.J. Smith, Fourth Ward.
