Draw set for 2013 county volleyball tournament

The matchups for the 2013 Putnam County Volleyball Tournament set. The tournament begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday at North Putnam High School.

In the opening match the host Cougars will take on the South Putnam Eagles. The next match, scheduled for 10:30 a.m., will be Cloverdale taking on Greencastle.

The championship match is scheduled for the 30 minutes following the conclusion of the semifinals and should begin around noon.

Both of the semifinal matches have had a preview earlier this season. NPHS won at SPHS in three sets on Sept. 5. On the same day Greencastle won at Cloverdale in four sets.

The junior varsity tournament is set to be held at the same time, with the same matchups, but the schedule is flipped. Cloverdale and Greencastle play at 9 a.m. and NPHS and SPHS play at 10:30.

The JV tournament matches will take place in the North Putnam Middle School gym.
