Sunday, September 15, 2013

The Greencastle Friends of the Park (FOTP) Association members welcome the public to join them for their 2013 Annual Membership Meeting and program beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18 in the community meeting room of the Starbucks in downtown Greencastle.

Greg Midgley, president of the National Road Heritage Trail, will present a brief program explaining the goal and status of the cross-state multi-use trail initiative.

He will bring this information to the group as he highlights specific goals for this ongoing effort as it relates to Putnam County's "linear park" development.

A dessert will be followed by a short business meeting, which will include a report of the 2013 progress and future projects of parks and interconnecting pathways of the community.

FOTP members and their guests are asked to RSVP to Jan Firebaugh at 720-8500 or janfire-baugh@gmail.com

Founded in 1985, the Greencastle Friends of the Park Association was formed by a committed group of citizens dedicated to improving the recreational options for all citizens.

The Friends' first project was the castle playground in Robe-Ann Park.
