Warren 'Shorty' Beaman Sr.

Warren "Shorty" Beaman Sr., 69, of Cataract (Spencer), passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013.

He was born June 18, 1944, the son of the late Willard Beaman and Mary Elizabeth Snider.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Becky (Berger) Beaman; two daughters, Jessica (David) Hipps, Cloverdale, and Sarah (Christopher) O'Neal, Indianapolis; three sons, Warren Beaman Jr., George, Jeff Beaman, Georgia, and Greg (Serita), Georgia; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Beth (David) Brown, Mecca, Ind.; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rheda Buehler.

Warren worked as a phone contractor for several companies as a lineman, drop plow and cable splicer.

He enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, fishing, boating and horseback riding.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Cataract Falls. Pastor John Nees will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society, Gentiva Hospice, Terre Haute, or Diabetes Association.
