Friday, September 20, 2013

Lindsay Robson, 17, is a senior volleyball player for Cloverdale. She has been the team's libero since her sophomore year and is currently in the top 12 in the state in digs, averaging more than 20 per match. In her free times he likes to spend time with her family, watch Netflix with her best friend Adri Patterson and play volleyball. Robson is the oldest of five kids, Mark, Abbi, Emma and Eli. Robson was a member three county volleyball champion teams, the 2012 WCC volleyball champions and the 2013 county softball championship team. She is in Academic Honors, a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Club and a past member of women's ensemble.
CHS volleyball coach Kathy Moore calls Robson a kind and generous person and a quiet leader. "She's that quiet kind of leader that leads by example. She's the kind you can look at and be a little mad at but she'll get out there and make the next play," Moore said.

Banner Graphic: When did you start playing volleyball?
Lindsay Robson: In the fifth grade.

BG: Do have a favorite volleyball team to watch?
LR: I like watching IU play. I went to one of their games last year.

BG: What kind of lessons have you learned from volleyball?
LR: To fight through fatigue, to communicate and work as a team. We're very compassionate. We always bring each other up and come together and make sure everybody is OK. We look past everything. We lost county but we're still keeping our heads up and pushing through all the games.

BG: How did you pick 2 for your number?
LR: That was the libero jersey, and I've always liked 1, 2 or 3. I always stick with the low numbers.

BG: What are your plans after high school?
LR: I want to go to ISU or IUPUI for stenography. It's an ultrasound technician and you can do ultrasounds anywhere, so I'm excited.

BG: What made you want to do that?
LR: I'm really undecided right now, but I just keep telling people that because that's what I think I want to do. I just was thinking over things one day.
