The predators of McCloud Nature Park

NORTH SALEM -- McCloud Nature Park will host a free program, The Predators of McCloud Nature Park, on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m.

Participants will learn about the environments of a wide variety of predators with a guided hike through the park.

The program begins in the Nature Center where a naturalist will lead a discussion about the predators' habitats and dietary preferences.

After discussing an array of predators -- ranging from coyotes to eagles and hawks to foxes -- a naturalist will lead participants on a hike through the park to seek out the predators' habitats.

The free program will last approximately 90 minutes.

McCloud Nature Park, operated by Hendricks County Parks and Recreation, is located five minutes south of North Salem at 8518 N. Hughes Rd.

Admission is free and the park is open from dawn to dusk daily. Nature center hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
