Norma Rae Chaplain

Norma Rae Chaplain, 78, of Russellville, passed away Thursday Oct. 3, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born Feb. 2, 1935 at Davies, Iowa, to Charles and Ila Swank Hofmann.

She was a homemaker and secretary. She graduated from Marshall High School.

She was married on May 24, 1953 at Rockville to Ronald C. Chaplain DVM, and he survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Rhonda (Ed) McBride of Russellville, and Vickie (Ronald) Carr of Marshall; a son, Russell (Jennifer) Chaplain of Pendleton; a sister, Darleen Harmon of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are planned for 11 a.m. Monday at Russellville Cemetery. Pastor Kathi Elliott will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Russellville Community Center.
