Friends of Park group selling butter braids as fundraiser

Monday, October 7, 2013

The Greencastle Friends of the Park Association will be selling butter braids, a fruit-filled or cream-filled pastry, as a fall fundraiser to help support youth programming.

The pastry item is unique as a frozen product ready to be baked for the enjoyment of homemade freshness.

Each butter braid pastry is a hand-braided treat filled with a choice of nine flavors, Bava-rian creme, apple, cherry, cinnamon, cream cheese, raspberry, strawberry creme and a new flavor this season, double chocolate.

Ordering butter braids until Oct. 22 will allow items to arrive in time to enjoy them for family get-togethers, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Butter braid flavors are $13 each. The new double chocolate is $14.

To order or for more information, persons may call Joan Davis at 653-3445 or people may e-mail joandavis@cinergymetro.net

The product will be delivered to the Robe-Ann Park pool freezer on Thursday, Nov. 14 and may be picked up between 3:30 and 6 p.m. that day.
