Pitch Perfect

Monday, October 7, 2013
After a good-luck kiss from grandpa Mike O'Hair (below), little Nolan O'Hair gets things rolling Saturday morning by throwing out the first pitch to start festivities at the Nolan's Ninjas Whiffleball Tournament fundraiser. With mom Ashley holding onto him, Nolan makes like Nolan Ryan and fires a strike toward waiting dad Nate. The tourney on the field at Fillmore School raised funds to benefit the foundation Autism Speaks. Nolan, who was diagnosed with autism at age two, celebrated his fourth birthday Sunday. The event raised more than $1,700 with more checks still coming in, Nate O'Hair reported. Top Gun was the winning team with the SD Dingers finishing second as approximately 100 players took part. Next up on the Nolan's Ninjas fundraiser schedule will be a flag football tournament, with date and time to be announced.
