Floy A. Black, 82, Quincy, passed away on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at her residence.

She was born on March 24, 1931 in Harrison Township, Owen County, and was the daughter of the late Everrett Freeman and Cleon (Baldon) Freeman.

She married Andrew Milton Black on July 22, 1946, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1998.

She is survived by her children, Ruth Winnings and husband Rex, Cloverdale, Patty Tyler and husband Darrell L., Cloverdale, Betty Jean Wilson and husband Kevin, Cloverdale, and Raymond L. Black, Quincy; her sister, Francis Williams and husband Larry, Quincy; her brother, Junior Freeman and wife Jean, Brazil; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Alaska Christian Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11 at the Alaska Christian Church. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, and Friday, Oct. 11 from noon until 1 p.m. at the Alaska Christian Church.

Interment will be in the Mannan Cemetery.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son, Paul Andrew Black; her great-grandson, Emerson Daniel Tyler; her sister, Bertha Eggers; and her brothers, Gib Freeman, Lee Freeman and Albert Freeman.
