Weakley/Clark Group plays Jazz at the Duck

DePauw Jazz at the Duck will present the Weakley/Clark Group from 8:30-10:30 p.m. Thursday at The Inn at DePauw's Fluttering Duck.

The group features Steven Weakley on guitar, Fred Withrow on bass and Lawrence E. Clark II on drums.

Lawrence E. Clark III has toured the world with Lionel Hampton, James Moody, Grover Washington, JImmy Witherspoon, David Baker and Pookie Johnson. In 2005 he was inducted into the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation Hall of Fame.

Steven Weakley has a style that exemplifies the harmonic expertise that was expressively demonstrated by such jazz giants as Grant Green and Wes Montgomery. He was the original guitarist and founding member of the organ band Funk, INC., who were signed to Prestige Records.

The show is free and open to the public.
