Eagles lose to Cadets in final home game

The South Putnam volleyball team lost to Cascade in the Eagles final home game of the season on Monday, 25-11, 25-17, 25-15.

"We fought hard against a very tough-hitting Cascade team," South Putnam coach Deanna Long said.

Kenzie Trisler led the Eagles with 11 service points, followed by fellow-seniors Katie McHugh (eight), Carey Tanner and Aubrey Nichols (seven each).

Senior Kelly Hayden, the team's libero, led the squad on defense.

The Eagles finished their regular season against Cascade and now look to sectionals next week. South Putnam plays in the Cloverdale Sectional and will take on the Speedway Sparkplugs on Thursday, Oct. 24 at about 7 p.m.
