Alice E. 'Sally' Cradick

Alice E. "Sally" Cradick, 91, Cloverdale, passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013 at Hickory Creek at Sunset, Greencastle, and went to be with her Lord and Savior.

She is hoping that all of her family and friends are "trying to imagine" what glory she is seeing and not grieving as much as celebrating her "new life."

Born Aug. 1, 1922 in Lawrence, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Birchie Leandrew and Emma Rebecca (Bolander) Young.

She married Donald Hill Cradick on Aug. 12, 1939, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1988.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Clifford, Richmond, and John Cradick and wife Jackie, Kevil, Ky.; grandchildren Amy Egner and husband Ronnie, Todd Cradick and wife Susie, Karen Clifford and Sharon Bowen and husband Doug, great-grandchildren Dustin Tincher and Brooke Bowen, Nick Scott and Dalton Scott and Samantha Cradick; sister-in-law Mary Lou Willhoite; niece Evelyn Albertson and nephew Bud Young.

She was a member of the Cloverdale United Methodist Church and worked in Sunday school, church and Bible school. She was also a member of Busy Bee Home Ec Club and a Cub Scout leader.

She also had served as a cook at a DePauw University sorority house.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Young and Richard J. Young, and brother-in-law Audrey Cradick.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Cloverdale Cemetery.
