County Jail

Two people were booked into the Putnam County Jail on Tuesday.

* At 12:50 p.m. Timothy Darren Tedders, 33, Indianapolis, was arrested for nonsupport of a dependent and probation violation.

* At 1:25 p.m. Deanna Marie Howard, 35, Indianapolis, was charged with domestic battery and failure to appear.

Sheriff's Department

* At 3:41 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, Kaleb M. Belcher, 18, Coatesville, was southbound on County Road 225 East in a 2001 Kia Sephia.

Larry M. Fitzgerald, 69, Indianapolis, was also southbound in a 1996 Chevrolet Silverado and stopped at the intersection with County Raod 210 North.

Belcher could not get stopped in time to avoid rear-ending Fitzgerald's vehicle.

Capt. Danny Wallace estimated damage at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 6:22 a.m. Tuesday, Kaleb L. Jones, 19, Clayton, was southbound on County Road 725 East just north of County Road 600 North in a 1999 Ford Ranger.

Deputy Ronnie Campbell said that for unknown reasons, Jones lost control of the truck in a corner, going into the northbound lane and striking the 2010 Volks-wagen Jetta driven by Timothy D. Donnelly, 54, Coatesville.

The Jones vehicle came to rest in the east ditch.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000

City Police

One property-damage accident was investigated Tuesday afternoon by Greencastle City Police officers.

The mishap occurred at 3:11 p.m. on North Jackson Street near Shadowlawn Avenue, Officer Jeff Modlin reported.

Terri Bonta, 47, Greencastle, was northbound on Jackson Street, driving a 1995 Chevrolet Lumina when she slowed in traffic and her car was struck from behind by a 2007 Toyota Highlander, driven by Phillip Courtright, 23, Elmhurst, Ill.

Total damage was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.
