City Police

Two recent warrant arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

-- At 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Capt. Chris Jones arrested Roger Lopez, 43, Greencastle, at his Castlebury Apartments residence.

Arrested on a Putnam County warrant for petition to revoke probation in a domestic battery case, Lopez was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

-- At 9:45 p.m. Thursday, Kristine Anderson, 40, Greencastle, was arrested on the parking lot of Dairy Queen at Putnam Plaza on a Putnam County warrant for failure to appear.

Taken into custody by Capt. Jones, Anderson was lodged in the Putnam

County Jail.

One minor property-damage accident was investigated Friday by Greencastle City Police on the parking lot of the Walmart superstore off Indianapolis Road.

Casey Flanagan, 33, Danville, was pulling out of parking space in a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, Officer Albert Epple reported, when her car struck a parked 1998 Honda Accord, owned by Michael Purvis, Coatesville.

As Flanagan reportedly attempted to pull out from between parked vehicles her car struck the left front corner of the Purvis car that was parked on her right.

Total damage was estimated at $1,000-$2,500.

One recent traffic citation was issued by city officers.

-- At 8:51 p.m. Wednesday, Jessica Stewart, 20, Bainbridge, was stopped at Wood and Washington streets by Officer Kyle Lee. Stewart was cited for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.

County Jail

Two people were booked into the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

* At 2:55 p.m. Kenneth Glen Pingleton, 36, Bainbridge, was arrested for bond revocation.

* At 3:12 p.m. John Randal Stewart, 39, Cloverdale, was booked in on a warrant for probation violation.

Sheriff's Department

* At 7:57 a.m. on Thursday, Carrie A. Hubbard, 37, Greencastle, was northbound on U.S. 231 when she hit a deer.

Sgt. Jon Chadd estimated damage at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 7:58 a.m. on Thursday, Jodina R. Meinke, 44, Greencastle, was southbound on U.S. 231 when she hit a deer.

Col. Tom Helmer estimated damage at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 11:20 p.m. on Thursday, Christopher J. Mullins, 29, Greencastle, was southbound on County Road 675 West in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am when he looked down to the radio and a deer ran into his path.

Mullins told Deputy Phillip Troyer he served to miss the animal, causing him to run off the road and into a cattle fence.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.
