James Franklin Finchum

James Franklin Finchum, 70, of Stilesville, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013.

James was born on Oct. 22, 1943 in Morgan County to Woodrow Finchum and Katherine Secrest Finchum.

He was a 1962 graduate of Belle Union High School and a member of Hanna Street Baptist Church.

James retired in December of 2011, after working in the family drainage business and the Lear Corporation, now IAC.

His parents and sister Deanna Sue Finchum preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Karen Kay Finchum; a stepson, Steve Cooper Jr. of Coatesville; a brother, Joseph Finchum and wife Darla of New Carlisle, Ohio; two sisters, Sharen Ryland and husband Stanley of Coatesville and Karen Jones and husband Todd of Newville, Pa.; two grandchildren, Michael Cooper and significant other Ryanne Smith of Clayton and Michele Cooper and significant other Frank DeLuca of Avon; and two great-grandchildren, Haylee Anne Cooper and Brian Michael DeLuca.

Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1 at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Stilesville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
