McCloud to host free guided hike Saturday

NORTH SALEM -- McCloud Nature Park will be hosting a free guided hike of McCloud's trails on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m.

McCloud's perimeter trails offer some of the best opportunities to experience various aspects of nature, from native birds and mammals to the spectacular fall colors of the majestic trees along the Big Walnut Creek.

This program is designed for all ages and will last approximately two hours. Participants should wear sturdy shoes, bring a water bottle and be prepared for an adventure, rain or shine.

McCloud Nature Park is operated by Hendricks County Parks and Recreation and is located five minutes south of North Salem at 8518 N. Hughes Rd.

Admission is always free and the park is open from dawn to dusk daily. Beginning Nov. 1, the Nature Center's hours change to Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
