Putnam County Extension Homemakers and the Purdue Extension Service are again teaming up with Sharon Black of Putnam County Hospital and Area 30 Career Center culinary arts students to offer another edition of Cooking 101.

This year's cooking program will feature fondue, just in time for the holiday entertaining season.

The 2013 Cooking 101 program is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8 in the Community Room at Area 30 Career Center.

The program is open to the public but reservations are necessary. To make reservations, persons may call Putnam County Extension Office at 653-8411.

Cost of the program, which includes demonstrations, handouts and tasting, is $5. Reservations must be made in advance, but participants can pay at the door.

Those attending the program will receive copies of the recipes that are prepared, which will include a variety of tasty, easy and fun fondue ideas.

Due to limited parking, individuals attending are encouraged to carpool, if possible.
