Janice Marie Hinkle Warren

Janice Marie Hinkle Warren passed away Thursday morning in Farmland, Ind. She was 74.

Born Aug. 9, 1939 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Herbert Gordon Hinkle and Olas Gardner Hinkle.

She graduated from Greencastle High School in 1957 and married Albert J. Warren on July 19, 1957. They divorced on Nov. 24, 1970.

She raised eight children and loved her family.

She also liked to read, was an avid quilter, loved to garden, cook and watch the Food Network.

She received Jesus on June 22, 2013 and became a member of New Life Apostolic Church in Crawfordsville.

She worked at several sewing factories around Indiana, was a nursing assistant, waitress, child caregiver and did home healthcare.

Survivors include her eight children, Leslie J. (Christie) Warren of Greentown, Teresa (Michael) Boucher of Knox, Melvin (Melanie) Warren of Crawfordsville, Darla (Gary) Klein of Acworth, Ga., Pamela Klein of Kendallville, Donald Warren of Farmland, Bruce (Janet) Warren of Huntertown and Matt (Becki) Warren of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Judy Foster, Sally Heller and Joyce Bradshaw; a brother, Herbert Hinkle, 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Miller, and one grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Services will be in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Terry Gobin officiating.

Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
