City Police

A minor theft incident was investigated recently by Greencastle City Police officers.

Kathy Kiger, 55, Bainbridge, is facing theft charges after reportedly taking a Cub Scout pocket knife, valued at $15-$20, from a flea market booth at the auction house at 505 N. Jackson St.

The incident reportedly occurred on Friday, and Kiger turned herself in at GPD headquarters on Saturday, police said.

Four traffic citations were issued recently by city officers.

* At 10:11 p.m. Sunday, Matthew Skidmore, 25, Danville, was ticketed at Indianapolis Road and 10th Street by Officer Kyle Lee for having an expired license plate (Oct. 14, 2013).

* At 6 p.m. Sunday, Adam Parks, 29, Greencastle, was cited on U.S. 231 North by Capt. Mike Hanlon for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense. Parks was stopped for having a taillight out.

* At 11:53 p.m., Friday, Dakota Dalton, 21, a DePauw University student from Waterford, Mich., was ticketed on South Locust Street by Officer Eric Vaughan for having an expired license (August 2013).

* At 10:03 p.m. Friday, Austin Harrison, 21, Brazil, was ticketed by Officer Vaughan for 55 mph in a 30-mph zone on South Jackson Street.

County Jail

At 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Cynthia Marie Ross, 37, Greencastle, was booked into the Putnam County Jail for parole violation.
