County Jail

Four people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Richard M. Woods, 36, Indianapolis, was booked in for nonsupport of a dependent.

* At 8 a.m. on Thursday, James Winford Mowery, 28, Quincy, was arrested for criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, intimidation and public intoxication.

At 2:38 p.m. Clifton Robert Adams, 48, Greencastle, was charged with possession of marijuana and parole violation.

* At 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Billy Lee Jones, 37, Cloverdale, was booked in for probation violation.

Sheriff's Department

At 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, Glenna D. Barnett, 56, Harmony, was westbound on U.S. 40 just east of U.S. 231 in a 2009 Nissan Frontier when her vehicle hit a deer.

Lt. Donnie Pettit estimated damage at $2,501-$5,000.
