On Tuesday, Nov. 19, Putnam County Hospital will be hosting prostate screens for the men of Putnam and surrounding counties.

The screening is an annual event sponsored by Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center.

"Early detection is the key," stressed Sarah Barnes, RN, of the PCH Cancer Center.

"We offer screenings to encourage more men to take an interest in their health and to protect themselves from cancer," she continued.

The physician exam is at no charge. A $10 laboratory fee will be collected for the PSA blood test.

The screen will be conducted by appointment only. To schedule a screen, persons may contact the PCH Cancer Center at 655-2581.

The screens will take place on Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon and 5-7 p.m. with Drs. Sreedasyam and Landry in the Cancer Center, located on the second floor at Putnam County Hospital.
