Joe and Jan Edwards in gospel concert Thursday night at Putnamville church

PUTNAMVILLE -- Joe and Jan Edwards will present an evening of gospel music on Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Putnamville United Methodist Church.

The program will begin at 7 p.m. at the brick church at the intersection of U.S. 40 and State Road 243.

Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. for an evening of music and fellowship. A free-will offering will be taken.

A 48-year veteran of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn., Joe Edwards has been playing fiddle in the Opry Band for more than 30 years.

Jan Edwards, born in Bloomington, won the Miss Indiana title in 1970, which led to appearances in regional and national commercials.


The couple have toured the U.S. and 15 countries while performing but say they most like singing and playing gospel music.
