Anita Louise Miller, 80, Greencastle, died on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 in Greencastle from complications related to her decade-long struggle with Parkinson's Disease.

She was born July 7, 1933 in Waco, Texas, the first of four children of Eddie Arthur and Arminda Louise (Wolfe) Wetterman.

Anita is survived by husband Hugh Holton Miller of Greencastle; daughter Marcia Ann and husband Billy Boyles Boothe Jr. of Bristol, Fla.; two brothers, James Edward and wife Mary (Harrell) Wetterman of Waco and Tommy Joe and wife Betty Lois (Lowe) Wetterman of Caldwell, Texas; sister-in-law Annie Mae (Olsen) Wetterman of Tomball, Texas; brother-in-law Mark Evan Miller and wife Janet E. Howe of Chicago; sister-in-law Cecilia (Vogel Miller) Pettit and husband Dale of North Vernon; adopted sister-in-law Charlene (Squires) Dillard and husband Ray of Los Altos, Calif., and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, paternal grandparents Charles Henry and Anna (Wachsman) Wetterman, maternal grandparents Prince Albert Houston "Hugh" and Martha Iredell (Moore) Wolfe and youngest brother Bobby Lloyd Wetterman.

She and her husband were married on Sept. 2, 1955 in Waco, Texas, where they met while he was serving in the Air Force at James Connally Air Force Base. She and family lived in Waco until 1958 when they relocated to Muncie from 1959 to 1961 before moving to Greencastle in 1961.

Anita worked as an administrative assistant at the Soil Conservation Service (now NRCS) District Office in Greencastle from 1963 until she retired in 1987. In 1971 the U. S. Department of Agriculture awarded her a Superior Service Award.

She also served on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and volunteered for the United Way. As an avid Democrat, she campaigned for local Democratic candidates. She was an active member of the Indybagoes RV Club.

A date for a memorial service will be announced at a later time.
