I-70 restrictions expected to continue through next 10 days

Wednesday, December 4, 2013

PUTNAMVILLE -- The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is asking motorists to be alert for lane restrictions on Interstate 70 in Putnam and Clay counties through Dec. 14.

Construction crews will be finishing up several items over the next few days between U.S. 231 and State Road 59, such as patching, pavement markings, installing an under drain and repairing guardrail from an earlier accident.

Also on I-70 between U.S .41 and U.S. 40/State Road 46 drivers are cautioned to watch for lane restrictions as crews repair a patch and place temporary pavement markings.

The lanes restrictions could cause back-ups and INDOT suggests motorists seek alternate routes.

The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather.
