Working at the potter's wheel in his shop north of Fillmore, Scott Cooper prepares another creation for his weekend exhibition and sale.

FILLMORE -- Scott Cooper has been making hand-crafted, functional pottery for more than 20 years, since first learning how to throw on the potter's wheel as a student at the University of Iowa.

Cooper's work, under the name St. Earth Pottery, has been featured in major ceramics exhibits, national magazines, and is used daily in homes and kitchens from Putnam County to all around the world.

This weekend, the pottery will be open for its 14th annual holiday exhibit and sale, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The pottery is located just north of Fillmore, approximately 15 minutes from Greencastle.

Cooper will feature more than 300 individually handmade pots in a variety of forms, styles and glazes. They can be used for food, drinks, storage and display, including mugs, tumblers, bowls, plates, pitchers, vases, covered jars and more.
