The front of the Washington Street building that housed the dental office of Dr. Perry Wainman prior to a May 17 fire receives some much-awaited attention as construction crews frame up a new entry Thursday morning. Dr. Wainman's office at 18 E. Washington St. was one of four downtown businesses heavily damaged in fire that also forced Wilson's Photography/Wilson's Formal Wear and Buzz Bomb Graphics, the Pawn Store and Greencastle Furniture to relocate. Dr. Wainman has reopened in a nearby temporary location at 125 E. Washington St., the professional building owned by optometrist Dr. Russell Elliott. Wainman has said he intends to move back to his previous location once it is renovated.
